Brand + Form
McIntosh Poris Architects is a Detroit-based architecture firm with a focus on transformative urban design. A long standing client, the firm recently engaged Zoyes to refresh its existing brand and website.
Zoyes worked with McIntosh Poris to create an updated brand identity that better reflects the firm's mission, values, and approach. Targeted website updates include an expanded homepage, a more visible and robust narrative about the firm and its work, an updated portfolio, and site-wide implementation of the new brand.
Inspired by the firm’s unique approach to urban design and adaptive reuse, Zoyes developed a flexible identity system based on an alternating left and right axis. Simple in its construction, the McIntosh Poris wordmark bounces back and forth between left and right justification – allowing it to integrate seamlessly into any layout. An additional element, the MPA monogram, rounds out an identity system that is equal parts smart and simple – much like the firm’s approach to architecture.
