As a leading voice in Detroit real estate, Bedrock continues to play an important role in the city’s redevelopment. While transitioning into their new downtown headquarters, it became clear that they were in need of an impactful tool that would help tell their story, attract major national tenants, and serve as an advertisement for the city of Detroit.

Zoyes was commissioned alongside Montreal-based creative studio Moment Factory to develop a comprehensive storytelling platform featuring an interactive scale model of downtown Detroit. This content-rich system allows Bedrock to showcase their vision for the city, using the model as a backdrop for each distinct narrative.

Architectural Models

This unique audiovisual experience utilizes four projectors mounted above the 130 square foot model. Adjacent to the model sits a large screen showcasing a vibrant city through video content playing in conjunction with the projected visuals. The entire platform is managed and controlled through a tablet app, providing a simple but powerful tool for the presenter.

Without the cityscape that serves as its canvas, this bold narrative would not be possible. The model itself is composed of more than 900 3D printed buildings spread across every corner of downtown Detroit. Every nuance, each detail of these facades, help tell the story of the city and its people.
